help women accessorize their lives. As part of our mission, we help
speakers (and authors) create the best career possible. By offering speakers the tools and training they need to run a
successful business, we enable them to help other
women create the best possible lives for themselves. In the process, our
speakers create better lives for themselves. We know this is
a radical approach to doing business but no one ever said we did things
the conventional way.

Divas Wanted!
Do you have what it takes to be an Extreme Diva Speaker?
We are
seeking speakers to fill 2 different needs:
1.
Girlfriends On... Speakers: These speakers create presentations from the
list of topics chosen by the EDM Board in addition to other topics that
support our mission statement. We believe the topics below are
going to be key in the lives of women over the next 2
years.
2.
Extreme Diva Speakers: These speakers receive full benefits of our
bureau. Each ED speaker must create 4-6 presentations
based on our mission statement and may include the topics below.

We
know many speakers are going to feel limited by our topic list. We
also know EDM Speakers see the list as a jumping off point. We believe
authors and speakers need to significantly narrow the focus of their
presentation\book, then create additional presentations\books based on
the initial presentation\book. It is important for you to position
yourself as an expert on your topic. Some speakers have training on
their topics, others have life experience. Whichever approach you
take, presentations should be practical, with advice that women can
immediately put to use.
We are also creating teams
of speakers, addressing topics we feel are extremely important for
women. These include our Financial Divas, our Business Divas and our
Relationship Divas.

Our Market
We
market our presentations (and books) to women 35-50. Most are married
with children and work outside the home. Current economic conditions
have left them dazed and confused. For many (the younger part of our
audience), this is the first time they have experienced a national
recession. Layoffs, foreclosures and increasing prices at the pump and
grocery store are causing these women to seek ways to bring stability
and security to their families and homes. They want simple practical
advice that they can apply as soon as they get home.
In
addition, we offer presentations for authors and speakers. At EDM, we
seek to mentor women beginning their careers as authors and speakers. We
know the experience of other authors and speakers is the best experience
there is. Therefore, we have added topics on writing and speaking to our
list.

address other areas of the same topic. While we know what we are looking

EDM Presentations
Times change and at EDM,
we realized we needed a new way to bring our presentations to the women
who really needed the information. We believe the message is the most
important thing and we work to use a variety of means to share the
information with our audiences. For example:
Teleseminars:
These online
seminars, also called webinars, allow us to bring presentations to women
in the comfort of their own home. These presentations are done live and
recorded. Women may listen as the program is being presented, having the
opportunity to ask questions after the presentation. Women who are unable to join the live presentation may
download the program so they may list later.
Podcasts:
These online "radio" shows offer speakers the opportunity to be
interviewed live on the air. The host is given a list of questions on the topic so they may interview the speaker during their program. EDM
hosts a variety of podcasts for this purpose. Speakers may also record their presentation which is then edited by our staff and uploaded to the
web. Women may then download the presentation at their convenience.
Virtual
Retreats\Conferences:
These online events feature a variety of speakers on a specific topic.
They may be scheduled for 1-3 days. Just like traditional events, a variety of presentations are offered to
attendees only they are online.
For each
of these online programs, handouts are offered to the attendees.
Speakers books, website and presentations are promoted during the the
event. In addition to these online programs, traditional "in-person"
events are also scheduled for our speakers.

EDM Publishing
Speaking is a vital way
to share ideas and advice with other women. Another way to reach them is
through your writing. We offer you 2 ways for you to reach women through
your writing:
1. Books: At EDM, we
publish a variety of books that help us fulfill our mission. Many of our
series feature short books on narrowly focused topics, just like our
